iExplorer basic is one licence but can that licence be transferred between computers?
Our licensing works on a per-person basis which means a license is required for each person that is going to use iExplorer with their personal iPhones, iPads, and iPods, and each iExplorer license will let a person install it on up to two of their computers at a time, Mac or PC. The license also covers any future computers or devices they own.
If you are only buying iExplorer to use with your own computers and personal devices, then you can just purchase the Basic (single) license, but if you are planning to use iExplorer with other people’s devices or computers as well, then you’ll want to purchase a multi-license family pack where the cost of each license is greatly reduced. Otherwise, If you try to share the Basic license with more people, you could run the risk of having your license deactivated due to exceeding the number of intended uses. You can view the license options on our store page below:
The Retail Pack will cover 2 people, and the Ultimate Pack will cover up to 5 people (and comes with 5 licenses of Dupe Away as well). These packs also come with an iExplorer USB backup drive which is a 4 GB flash/thumb drive that has the install files for iExplorer already on it. The USB drive can also be added to a Basic license during checkout for an additional fee. Then, we also have Enterprise licenses for business or organizational use.
All iExplorer licenses are a one-time payment for a lifetime license to use the software where all software updates to major version 3 will be included as well as complimentary technical support for as long as you need it.
